Lady Clare's Consort - Behold the Miracle
Come and watch Lady Clare's Consort perform a selection of Christmas music in Cambridge on Friday 28th November 8pm.
The programme contains cantus-firmus based masterpieces by the English renaissance composers Tallis, Sheppard, and Byrd, alongside a particularly festive setting of the Magnificat by Hieronymus Praetoirius which mixes German carols with verses from the evening canticle. Also in the programme are works by 20th-century English composers Howells and Leighton, German renaissance composer Johannes Eccard, and 21st-century British composer Joanna Marsh.
