Porter Square Books is thrilled to welcome Danny Freeman, author of the brand-new cookbook Italianish: Modern Twists on Classic Italian Flavors, for an evening of food, stories, and conversation. Joining Danny on stage will be Lisa McManus, executive editor and gadget guru from America’s Test Kitchen.
Known online as @DannyLovesPasta, Danny has built a devoted community of over a million followers with his colorful pasta creations, inventive Italian-American recipes, and approachable style of cooking. In Italianish, Danny expands his love for pasta into over 100 recipes that reinvent Italian-American classics for today’s kitchen—from Lasagna Soup to Caprese Steak Sandwiches to No-Bake Chocolate Cannoli Cheesecake.
Lisa McManus brings her deep expertise from Cook’s Illustrated and Cook’s Country, where she leads equipment testing and ingredient tastings, as well as her role as on-screen gadget guru for America’s Test Kitchen. Together, Danny and Lisa will explore creativity in the kitchen, the journey from viral content to bestselling books, and why Italian-inspired cooking never goes out of style.
