Welcome to the VCAN October 2025 Meeting!

Join us for an engaging in-person gathering with the Vietnamese Business and Professional

Community. This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow members, exchange ideas, and build valuable relationships in a casual, welcoming setting.

Founded in the summer of 2024, VCAN continues to grow as a supportive network of business owners and professionals in Calgary. While many members are Vietnamese Canadians, we warmly welcome individuals of all backgrounds who share a community spirit and are committed to collaboration, support, and mutual growth. To grow VCAN, we encourage you to bring a guest!

 Date & Time: Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

 Scotiabank Office

Suite 1700, 225 – 6 th Avenue SW (17 th Floor Lunchroom), Calgary, Alberta T2P 1N2

(Street parking free after 6:00 PM)

Meeting Highlights:

 Food: Light appetizers and drinks will be provided. To help cover costs, we kindly ask for

a $25 contribution per attendee.

 Agenda:

1. Opening Remarks: A welcome by one of VCAN’s founders.

2. Presentation: “Your books tell the story of your business – make sure it’s written

accurately. Smart record-keeping and tax planning aren’t expenses, they’re profit

multipliers. Get it wrong, and the taxman – not you – will cash in when it’s time to sell.”

3. Member Introductions: Each attendee will have 30 seconds to:

o Introduce themselves and their business or professional background

o Share referrals they are seeking or have given/received

o Highlight specific business opportunities they are pursuing

4. Open Networking: The remainder of the evening will be dedicated to building

connections.
