SINNER isn’t just a show — it’s a conversation our world is aching to have. Before the final performances in September, you have a unique opportunity to participate in a rare and powerful workshop experience led by Marla Torgerson herself.
SINNER is a raw, hilarious, and unflinching one-woman musical tragicomedy. Through laughter, storytelling, and song, Alberta’s own Marla Torgerson invites the audience on a journey of deconstruction — of church, family, sexuality, and identity — exposing the painful absurdities of evangelical patriarchy with vulnerability and wit.
Written and performed by Marla, this powerful show weaves biting satire, heartbreaking memoir, and original music into a bold, tender reclamation of voice and Self.
Each workshop includes a live performance of the show in progress, followed by a sacred sharing circle, where you can speak openly about your experience with religion, purity culture, patriarchy, or spiritual trauma — or simply listen and hold space for others. This is humanity at its most raw and tender, in a safe place.
This will not be part of the final performances — this is your only chance to be part of this transformative creative process.
Your presence matters. Your voice matters. And your support helps bring this vital art to life.
There is a $10 (at the door) donation per workshop.
