Sickest House x Bass Asylum presenting after a long time coming ...Chuurch
After seven years away, the embers of Sickest House have been slow-roasting beneath the surface - gathering heat, intention, and the strange beauty that only comes with time. Now, the coals flare bright again amidst the brimstone, and we return to Calgary alongside the mighty architects of bass, Bass Asylum, to summon a night that will shake bone and spirit alike.
Together, we craft the perfect altar for music, art, and ritual - where the main elders of the night, Chuurch, take the stage, stepping back into the light after years of honing their craft, returning to where their story began.

Chuurch :: Architects of Lean Bass
When whispers of their name first emerged in early 2016, it caught the attention of many. This mysterious duo materialized from a murky cloud of intrigue, establishing themselves as trendsetters in electronic music.
After a chance meeting, Jeff Wilson and Justin MacLean began collaborating on production, not knowing the storm they were about to unleash. Both with extensive solo histories as producers and live performers, neither had ventured into partnership before. Their approach has always been one of deliberate refinement - taking years to reflect on who they are and what they want to become. Unlike so many artists, Chuurch created a sound that is instantly recognisable. Hate it or love it, Chuurch is Chuurch.
In a musical generation often defined by repetition, Chuurch stand apart. Their artistry is grounded in attitude, intent, and unwavering self-confidence. Patient and calculated, they’ve consistently challenged the status quo with their uncommon approach to making music.
Their signature style, known as Lean Bass to their devoted fanbase, is a melting pot of influences. Drum work and vocal sampling evoke the raw MPC2000 era, driven over basslines that feel like they were sequenced in a late ’90s basement. Hip Hop grit meets Bass Music force, combined in bold, eclectic compositions reminiscent of Boys Noize, Mr. Oizo, and the darker shades of Justice - yet entirely their own.
Chuurch craft every track to support their live shows, performing only their own productions. Every set is a carefully curated journey, leaving audiences spellbound, full of energy, and filled with questions rather than answers. Their dedicated fanbase, The UUnion, has followed them faithfully through years of rare appearances and now eagerly anticipates this comeback - a return with all the force, precision, and dark magic that has defined their career.
Recently, Chuurch joined forces with Canadian producer REZZ for the track "Telepathy," released on REZZ's HypnoVizion label. This collaboration, nearly a decade in the making, showcases their shared vision and marks a significant moment in their artistic journey.
