Show and Tell at the City of Calgary Archives - July 31st

Join the Archivists (both past and present) to discover some of their favorite treasures as well as the tales that go with them. We will share some of our most beautiful, unique, or just plain strange items that have made their way into our collections and explore how they made their way to the Archives. This “behind the scenes” tour will provide insight on the growth of the Archives program and how it has evolved over time to become the program that it is today.

The Archives will be providing two sessions with limited attendance to provide ample opportunity for participants to explore the Archives space and the treasures that are uncovered during the presentation.

The Archives is located at 313 - 7th Avenue SE, on the ground floor of the Administration Building, behind the sandstone City Hall, and is part of the Municipal Complex. We can be accessed directly off of the south City Hall C-Train platform and are located to your left as you enter the lobby. The sign on the glass doors reads "City Clerk’s Office, Archives", please press “Archives” on the intercom to be buzzed in.
