Sexual Assault and Reporting

Join us at the Women’s Centre of Calgary for a powerful and informative workshop on Sexual Assault and Reporting. This session is designed to provide women with clear, practical knowledge about the reporting process and the resources available to survivors.

About the Facilitator
This workshop will be led by Sara Sicherman, Founder of Justice Pathway. Sara is a former criminal trial prosecutor in Alberta who saw firsthand how overwhelming, confusing, and isolating the justice system can feel. She left courtroom practice to focus entirely on supporting survivors, witnesses, and families — helping them understand each step, access their rights, and find confidence on their journey.

Participants will:

• Learn about survivors’ rights and the steps involved in reporting sexual assault
• Gain insight into investigative processes, evidence gathering, and available supports
• Have the opportunity to ask questions in a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment

This workshop will create a supportive space for open dialogue, aiming to increase awareness, confidence, and access to justice for women in our community.
