ABOUT THE ORGANIZERS
Queer Writers of Calgary Queer Writers of Calgary, now a subgroup of the Frolic Parade, was started by CJ Braxton in October 2023 out of their desire to write, share ideas, and build community. The group meets bi-weekly to work on individual writing projects, offer feedback, and chat about books. All members of the queer community are welcome with the expectation of warmth, respect, and kindness from each member.
The Frolic Parade is a queer adult community group that features three subgroups: Queer Writers of Calgary, Sun Seekers, and Pickled Spikers. Each group, respectively, focuses on all types of writing, spiritual realm discussions, and playing spikeball and pickleball. The Frolic Parade seeks to create and maintain a safe, engaging, and friendly third space for queer folks looking for niche community.
