National Aviation Weekend

National Aviation Day occurs yearly on February 23, which is the anniversary of the first powered flight in Canada with the Silver Dart! It's a great way to discover the history of aviation. This event is aimed to entertain the entire family. We're celebrating National Aviation Day with a full weekend of fun. (Tickets are available online and at the door.)

For 2026 we're celebrating on Saturday February 21 and Sunday February 22 from 10am to 4pm.

2026's event features:

-a free colouring book with every child admission (while supplies last)
-tours and presentations
-see the Silver Dart up close, it's currently on the gallery floor instead of being up in the rafters, this gives a great vantage point for understanding this pivotal aircraft and its construction, it will be raised up to its usual home very soon following this event
-build a flying device!
