Kid Koala SPACE CADET Animated Feature ALBERTA PREMIERE at CIFF CALGARY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Director Kid Koala (Eric San) will be in attendance at the September 19 screening.

Adapted from his graphic novel of the same name, legendary Canadian artist Kid Koala’s debut animated feature follows a guardian robot as he tries to find new purpose in life after his ward, Celeste, a bright young astronaut, blasts off on a solo mission to outer space.

A poignant music-filled tale about memories and the bonds that connect us, SPACE CADET is a futuristic lullaby about finding your place in the universe and exploring grief, loss, and love across generations.

Kid Koala is well-known as a scratch DJ, film composer, live performance artist, and for writing and illustrating the award-winning graphic novels NUFONIA MUST FALL (2003) and SPACE CADET (2011).
