A weekend for fun loving adventurers to meet like minded people who’d rather be connecting over a campfire than hitting the bars.
Roam Mates is all about bringing together down-to-earth people who love the outdoors and want to meet fellow nature lovers, make new friends, plan new adventures or just enjoy a weekend around a campfire together.
Whether you’re into hiking, paddling, biking, boating, stargazing or just chilling in the nature with a cuppa or a bevvie, this is your kind of crowd.. All respectful, nature loving humans are welcome.
This is the plan so far:
📍 A relaxed weekend campout within two and a half (ish) hours of Cairns, QLD (location to be decided depending on numbers)
🔥 Potluck-style camp cook-up on the first night — BYO dish, snack or specialty
🎲 Light activities on Saturday to get everyone mingling — think games, shared adventures, zero awkwardness, lots of laughs
🌴 Time and space to connect with fellow outdoor lovers who know that a simple fire-cooked meal shared under the stars can be even better than a night at a fancy restaurant
Whether you come solo, as a family or with a mate or two, this is about making new friends to plan and share adventures with in this beautiful part of earth we are so lucky to call home.
