Sunday Morning with Jamus Redd

In John 1: 43-51, Jesus begins to gather His disciples. After calling Andrew and Peter, He finds Philip and commands him to "Follow me". Philip, in turn, seeks out Nathanael to share the news that they have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, Jesus of Nazareth. Nathanael expresses skepticism about Jesus' origins, questioning, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?". Philip encourages him to come and see for himself. When Jesus sees Nathanael approaching, He declares him to be "an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit". This leads to Nathanael's declaration of faith, recognizing Jesus as the Son of God and the King of Israel.
