Shades and Tones - yarn dyeing workshop

Got your eye on a lovely fade pattern? Want to knit or crochet something in an ombre yarn? If so, this dyeing workshop is for you!

This half-day workshop at Peak District Yarns teaches you how to get varying depths of shade when dyeing yarn. We will explore how to create different shades from a single dye colour, and create a mini-skein fade set to take away.

We will then explore the ways to create an ombre or gradient yarn. You will create an ombre using a sock blank and we will discuss other methods which can be used to achieve the same effect.

200g of yarn are included in the price of this workshop:

- a set of five mini skeins (choose either a Merino DK or Merino 4-ply Sock Yarn)
- a sock blank (choose either a single or double stranded 4-ply merino sock blank)

Maximum 6 participants per workshop. All materials are provided.
