MARCH 2026 ~ We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting the first ever basketmaking weekend on Northern Irelands only inhabited offshore island, "Rathlin". Participants will be staying in the magnificent Manor House...
- Located on the beautiful island of Rathlin. This listed, relaxed Georgian Manor House built in the 18th Century, comprises twelve comfortable guest rooms, a licensed restaurant, a bar and a café. Renovations to the hotel have seamlessly blended original features with contemporary furniture and fabrics, including eye-catching colours, to create a cosy and welcoming ambiance for our guests.
Comfort, style and convenience are key to the bedrooms at The Manor House, each one with unique features and character. The majority have stunning sea views. Each bedroom showcases evidence of the era of the building, whether in its high ceilings, ornate cornicing or quirky windows, whilst feature “wall art” headboards and crisp, white linen bring you back to the 21st century.
What you can expect - this will be a totally immersive basketry weekend, it will be exclusively full board, we have booked the entire Manor House, so participants can relax and enjoy full tuition over two days under the one roof. Projects will be suitable for both beginners and intermediate who wish to explore taking work to the next level.
Travelling on the Friday 27th March 10am sailing....we cross from Ballycastle to Rathlin - returning on Sunday 29th sailing, check out is 11am which allows those who wish to enjoy exploring the island time to do so. The clocks go forward that weekend, so hopefully weather is kind.
The Manor House requires a NON REFUNDABLE deposit - Participants should be aware that the weather can disrupt sailings, in which case we will move to the next available weekend
