Developing an inclusive wrap around provision workshop

Are you concerned about the number of children with SEND who need extra support in your setting? This workshop aims to unpick some of the very real challenges of working inclusively, a long with sharing practical solutions and whole setting thinking which can support the development of inclusive wraparound provision. The session will also point you to some free training which has been developed directly with and for the wraparound sector over the last year. Your local authority have purchased this training so we are keen you make the most of this free offer while you can.

The workshop will cover;

• Who we are and what we do
• What do we mean by inclusion?
• Understanding the challenges that are specific to the wraparound sector
• Simple solutions for complex issues, example examples that provide providers have shared with us that can make a difference to creating a whole setting inclusive approach
• Are you business planning for inclusion? Do you know the number of children coming through your doors and do you take a proactive approach to supporting those children in your business planning?

Ann Van Dyke MBE has over 30 years experience of supporting design, development and delivery of early years & childcare services. She has worked nationally for 20 years supporting the role out of various childcare policies working with the sector direct, local authorities and other relevant partners. Ann is also co-director of a community interest company called Families First. Families First offers a range of services including a focus on supporting the wraparound sector as this is where Ann started her career many moons ago.
