Sydney Book launch for Reptiles and Frogs of the ACT

The Australian Capital Territory may be Australia’s smallest jurisdiction, but it harbours an impressive diversity of reptiles and frogs—around 7% of the continent’s herpetofauna. This comprehensive field guide highlights the remarkable range of species found across the ACT’s varied environments, from temperate grasslands and wetlands to alpine peaks and woodlands.

Covering all 79 species of turtles, lizards, snakes and frogs recorded in the region, the book features detailed profiles of each, including both the familiar residents of suburban gardens and reserves, and the lesser-known threatened species unique to the ACT.

Brian La Rance, Wesley Read and Bridget Lunn have done an exceptional job bringing this information together, and all three authors will be making the trip to Sydney to discuss the region’s herpetofauna and share insights into the book’s development.
