Burton On Trent Floating Market

Get ready for a unique shopping experience! The Roving Canal Traders Association's Burton On Trent Floating Market is set to return on 3rd,4th & 5th May 2025, bringing a splash of colour and charm to the Trent & Mersey Canal. From 10am to 5pm each day, the canal by Shobnall Fields near Bridge 32B will come alive with boats selling a delightful array of hand-made crafts, original artwork, vintage clothing, and mouth-watering culinary delights.

Whilst at Shobnall Fields you’re very close to lots of places worth a visit.

Why not make a day of it!

Obviously there’s Burton-on-Trent town centre with its shops and being a brewing town lots of pubs but there’s also Claymills Victorian Pumping Station which is a restored Victorian sewage pumping station. Branston Water Park which is a wonderful wildlife spotting opportunity and it’s next to the canal too.

A little further out of town is the National Arboretum which is an extensive woodland area with thousands of trees and memorials in honour of those fallen in service.
