Solvivor live at Homeplace

Post Modern Southern Rock band SOLVIVOR play the Homeplace & Hog Hollow stage Saturday, August 30 starting at 7pm!

Introducing Solvivor, the Post Modern Southern Rock project featuring Ian Harrod on bass and vocals; Dorsey Parker on guitar; Josh Chassner on lead guitar and vocals; and Chris Pyle on guitar, percussion and vocals.

Formed in Asheville, North Carolina, in June 2022 by Dorsey Parker and Ian Harrod — who have played together for 15 years with bands such as Laura Blackley & the Wildflowers — the concept of the band was to take heavy themes from archetypes of myths and legends and make rock songs out of them. They quickly began recording their initial songs, "Carolina Country Blues" and "Cold Feet" — tracks previously developed by Parker and Harrod with Blackley and the Wildflowers — which were mixed and mastered by renowned record producer John Keane in Athens, Georgia.

“As a band, Dorsey and I have a very unified vision of what we want to accomplish,” says founding member Ian. “Josh and Chris are also a great fit in many ways, both being extremely skilled at their instruments as well as being kind people who can get behind the idea of helping others through music.

“We always play from the heart, give it our all and work hard in preparation for what we are trying to do.”
