Do you love kayaking? Enjoy working with kids? Prefer peaceful walks on scenic trails? Have you thought about becoming a park host or helping with a nature program? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
We are seeking volunteers who are passionate about the outdoors. Whether you're a birder, angler, hiker, or simply someone who enjoys nature and wants to help promote outdoor recreation and education, we’d love to have you join us.
Join us for an informational event:
📅 Date: August 23
🕣 Time: 8:30 AM
📍 Location: Inks Lake State Park – 802 Park Rd 4 West, where the old golf course used to be (about 1 mile south of Hwy 29, look for posted signs)
We’ll walk the property, learn about Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s plans for future expansion, and hear about how the land will be developed. You’ll also have a chance to talk with current volunteers about what it’s like to be part of our friends group and the many ways you can get involved.
What to bring:
• Water
• Sunscreen
• Long pants
• Closed-toe shoes (recommended)
