Interested in the intersection between faith identities and LGBTQ+ identities? Lydia Ruenzel from the SFU Multi Faith Center will be leading community discussion for students who are struggling to find community within their religious and queer spaces alike.
About the facilitator: Lydia Ruenzel (she/her) is the Multifaith Centre Chaplain with Campus United at SFU (part of the United Church of Canada). One of her favourite things is to sit and talk about anything and everything faith-related (and life-related for that matter!) – whether it’s questions, curiosities, struggles, excitement, or wonder, it’s just an honour to hear where people are at on their journeys. In her free time, you can find Lydia at one of her favourite bakeries with a coffee in hand and her family by her side. She also enjoys walks through the beautiful Northwest Coast forests, watching Packer football games, or reading a riveting mystery novel.
