WestiePit is a weekly West Coast Swing Dance going strong in the San Fernando Valley for over two years at the Burbank Moose Lodge with classes and social dancing - our next dance is on Tuesday, August 19th!!

Time:
Doors open - 7:30pm
Classes - 8pm
Social dancing - 9pm to midnight

Classes:
Level 1: Beginners Class with Teveya West - Free drink ticket for attendees of this class! Wear preferably thin soled shoes you can spin in with a low or flat heel.
Level 2: Beginning/Intermediate Class (main dance floor): Joel Torgeson - must know west coast swing basics for this class
DJs: Tip & Mike
Music: Many genres! Including - Blues, R & B, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Pop, etc!
Ages: 18 and over only!!!
Admission: $15, includes the class and social dancing (West coast swing All -Stars and above with points in their division are our guests - must show WSDC points)
Bar: Yes!!! (no-host and very affordable!)
Dance floor: Yes - wood!!!
Parking: Free street parking

Progressive Jack & Jill Info:
WestiePit is proud to announce their first progressive jack and jill series!!! This is a great opportunity to practice your competition skills before events as well as your chance to win cash and prizes!! Here are the details:
When:
3rd Tuesday of the month for four months with finals in the fifth month. The dates for our first progressive series are:
8/19
9/16
10/21
11/18
12/16 - Finals
Cost:
$5 entry per person for each of the four months. All entry fees go into the pot for the finals in the fifth month. The more people who enter, the more money will be in the prize pot!
Deadline to enter: Sign up at the door by 10pm!
Levels:
Open only to novice (ability to dance west coast swing basics) through advanced. Dancers have to pick their role (lead or follow) for the duration of each series. Dancers who compete in the WSDC All Star level and above are not allowed to enter.

Include free drinks, free admission to WestiePit and of course - points!!! Points will be award for each lead and follow
1st - 6 points
2nd - 5 points
3rd - 4 points
4th - 3 points
5th - 2 points
6th - 10th - 1 point
The top point holders will qualify for the finals. The number of finalists will depend on the number of competitors who enter in the cycle and where the natural break in the points occur at the end of the four months.
