ABOUT: There will be a 200 yard WRA meet on Saturday, August 30. DII and Dash entries welcome. And bring your other sighthounds out to play in the LGRA meet held in conjunction with us! A separate premium for the LGRA meet hosted by St. Louis Area Sighthounds (SLASH) is available on their facebook page.
Best in Meet will be awarded our vintage perpetual trophy and a rosette. Best of Opposite Sex will be awarded our vintage BOS perpetual trophy plus other goodies for both! Pre-entries are due by Wednesday, August 27 by 10 p.m. CST to Paula at

Pre-entry fee is $15 per dog with a $45 limit per kennel. Post entries are $25 per dog with a $60 limit per kennel. Any entry not received by August 27 at 10 pm will be considered a post entry. Payment may be made at the meet. Send entries and questions to Paula at

Measuring and inspection will begin at 8:30 a.m. , with racing beginning immediately after the draw of the races. All entrants must be registered with WRA. Registration information is on the WRA website, whippetracing.org. If your dog is not registered before the meet, bring a copy of the dog's registration and $5 for each new dog. All racers will run with muzzles and numbered racing blankets from a starting box and should be trained accordingly. There will be practice between heats and after the meet as time permits.
NOTE: On Sunday, August 31. Show-Me Whippet Club will host a NOTRA meet; a separate premium will be posted.
MEET LOCATION: Rosewood Farm, 241 Prairietown Road, Dorsey, Illinois hosted with Mike and Kathy Slater. Water and indoor bathroom available. A lunch buffet will be available for $7, bring your own drinks. This is a bargain, these lunches are more than worth it!
HOTELS: The Super-8 in Staunton is off I-55, exit 41. Address is 1527 Herman Road, Staunton, IL 62088. Phone 618-635-5353. This is the closest hotel to the site. Pet policy is $10 per pet per night. There are several pet friendly hotels in Litchfield, about 11 miles north of the Staunton exit off I-55. Hampton Inn has a 2 pet limit with a pet fee of $75 for entire stay.
