Come see Flotsam River Circus in Buffalo on Friday, August 1st.
Flotsam is a troupe of musicians, circus artists, and puppeteers traveling on a handmade raft, giving free performances in waterfront towns along the way.
We'll be performing at the Outer Harbor, along the beach at Wilkeson Pointe Park. Just look for the unusual 'boat' by the shore — that's us!
Our show is family-friendly but intended for audiences of all ages. The performance starts at 7 pm and will be finished before 8:30. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and come early for a good spot!
The show is free to attend, but we keep this crazy project afloat through donations. If you can afford it, we suggest a contribution of $10–$25 per person. Cash is welcome, or you can Venmo us at @rivercircus.
Parking in the area is limited, so if possible, please carpool, bus, bike, kayak, or teleport. Also, consider taking the Outer Harbor bike ferry.
For those arriving by boat, please note that our show is much better viewed from shore — and we ask that no boats position themselves behind us during the performance.
We are honored to be one of the first events held at the newly renovated park. A HUGE thank you to Canalside for hosting us! We will also be performing at the same location on Saturday and Sunday (August 2 and 3.)
Buffalo is the first stop on our 2025 Erie Canal and Hudson River tour. In conjunction with the Bicentennial of the Erie Canal, we’ll be traveling over 600 miles and performing in dozens of towns, all the way to New York City!
