Clinic: Teach the Thing

If you’ve been sharing what you know and are ready to turn it into a course, class, or program, this in-person experience is for you. In this clinic, you’ll explore what curriculum is, how it works, and how to build it around what you already do. You’ll learn how to take your skills, experience, or service and turn them into a clear, teachable format that supports real transformation. By the end of this clinic, you’ll understand how curriculum can elevate your work and become a powerful, income-generating part of your business.

Here’re the learning objectives for this class:

• define what curriculum is and how it supports adult learning (andragogy),
• map your content into a clear, teachable structure, and in your voice,
• identify your delivery method (course, workbook, training, etc.),
• understand the basics of intellectual property, copyright, and licensing,
• Understand the difference between a certificate, certification, and accreditation, and
• explore learning platforms (LMS) that align with your goals.

Throughout this clinic, you’ll map your own content with prompts, guidance, and space to think, including: breaking down the building blocks (modules, materials, outcomes), structuring your ideas with adult learners in mind, looking at real platforms (LMS) to host and grow your curriculum, and talking copyright, licensing, and protection strategies.
