“Greetings from Bude”

A delight for locals and those interested in history - join the Bude LitFest showing of 'Greetings From Bude', a film by Tim Rolt celebrating Bude through postcards all sent from Bude dating from the start of the last century!

From early hand tinted and black and white photographs dating from the start of the twentieth century, to more brightly coloured images from the 1950's, through to the 1990’s. This 25 minute film celebrates Bude through postcards.

This event will also include a new, as yet untitled, short film chronicling the time that the writer Jean Rhys lived in Bude, when she was working on what would become her most famous book Wide Sargasso Sea.
