A Stereolab egy angol-francia avant-pop zenekar, amely 1990-ben alakult Londonban. A csapatot Tim Gane és Lætitia Sadier dalszerző párosa vezeti, hangzásuk pedig a krautrock és a hatvanas évek francia popzenéjének hatásait ötvözi. Gyakran használnak ismétlődő, motorikus ritmusokat, vintage elektronikus billentyűs hangszereket és angol, illetve francia nyelven énekelt női vokálokat. Szövegeik politikai és filozófiai témákat dolgoznak fel, amelyeket a szürrealista és szituacionista művészeti mozgalmak inspiráltak. Élő fellépéseiken a visszhang-effektekkel átszőtt, gitárközpontú megszólalás jellemzi őket. Az 1990-es évek közepétől zenéjükben egyre nagyobb szerepet kaptak a funk, a jazz és a brazil zenei hatások.

Emmanuel Mario, egy francia producer, dobos és zeneszerző, aki a finoman kidolgozott elektronikus zene és a nosztalgikus hangzásvilágok mestere. Szólóprojektje, az Astrobal, a kortárs francia elektronika egyik egyedi színfoltja, amely a library music, a kozmikus pop és a vintage szintetizátorok világát ötvözi.

Stereolab are an Anglo-French avant-pop band formed in London in 1990. Led by the songwriting team of Tim Gane and Lætitia Sadier, the group's sound features influences from krautrock and 1960s French pop music, often incorporating a repetitive motorik beat with the use of vintage electronic keyboards and female vocals sung in English and French. Their lyrics have political and philosophical themes influenced by the Surrealist and Situationist art movements. While performing, they play in a more feedback-driven and guitar-oriented style. From the mid-1990s, the band began to draw from funk, jazz and Brazilian music.

Emmanuel Mario is a French producer, drummer, and composer who is a master of finely crafted electronic music and nostalgic soundscapes. His solo project, Astrobal, stands out as a unique voice in contemporary French electronic music, blending the worlds of library music, cosmic pop, and vintage synthesizers.
