Intellectual Speed Dating – The Community Debate Night

Join us for a lively evening of conversation and ideas at the Három Szerb Café’s community debate night!
🧠 How it works:
At the beginning of the evening, participants will be divided into small table groups. Each table will be assigned a mystery topic—revealed only once you open the envelope placed on your table. Inside, you'll find a thought-provoking prompt and a few guiding questions. The topics? Anything goes—from polarizing societal issues to everyday philosophical dilemmas you'd discuss over a coffee.
Previous topics included:
– What's the difference between male and female leaders?
– Should brothels be legalized in Hungary?
– Is human morality something we are born with, or purely a cultural construct?
Each round lasts 10 minutes, giving you just enough time to make your point, defend your stance, or try to convince your tablemates. When the time is up, both the topics and table groups rotate, keeping the conversation fresh and engaging.
🎯 The goal:
To go home with new connections, mental stimulation, and the buzz of an energizing night of dialogue.
