MEGHATÓ. KARÁCSONYI. GYERMEKÉNEK.
Már hagyomány a Magyar Rádió Gyermekkórusánál, hogy adventkor szinte minden formációban fellépnek a gyerekek. Az adventi koncert apropóján igazán színes képet adnak a hallgatóságnak arról a sokrétű tevékenységről, melyet az iskolai mindennapokban folytatnak. Az adventi várakozás időszaka és maga a Karácsony kiemelkedően fontos szerepet játszott a kereszténység zenéjében. Az évszázadok során a megváltó születése a különböző keresztény egyházak hagyományában, a népszokásokban és a művészetekben a legszínesebben ünnepelt szent eseménnyé vált. Különösen izgalmassá teszi ezen ünnepkör zenei repertoárját, hogy benne a vallási, a naiv népi és a magas művészeti kifejezési formák mindig is harmonikusan egészítették ki egymást.
Az advent hangulatát idéző koncerten nemcsak a Palánták szívderítő népi betlehemesén gyönyörködhetnek, hanem bepillantást adunk a gyermekkórus aktív zenei életébe is. Megmutatjuk, milyen öröm kamaracsoportokkal hangulatos karácsonyi motettákat énekelni, milyen felemelő érzés hallani a lelkes lányok és a mutáláson éppen átesett fiúk bársonyos hangját az ifjúsági vegyeskari produkciókban. Nem utolsó sorban tehetséges hangszeres szólistáink is megcsillantják tudásukat.

TOUCHING. CHRISTMAS. CHILDREN’S SONGS.
It has become a tradition for the Hungarian Radio Children’s Choir to perform in almost every possible formation in the Advent period. This Advent concert gives the audience a truly colourful insight into the many activities the Children’s Choir carry out in their everyday school life. The time of Advent with its anticipation and Christmas itself have played a prominent role in the music of Christianity. Over the centuries, the birth of the Saviour Jesus Christ has become the most richly and colourfully celebrated sacred event in the traditions of the various Christian churches, in folk traditions and in art. What makes the musical repertoire of these celebrations particularly exciting is that Christmas has always been capable of harmoniously uniting religious, naïve folk and high artistic forms of expression.
The concert will feature not only a heart-warming folk nativity scene by the Palánták Choir, but will also offer the audience a glimpse into the active musical life of this children’s choir. The event will provide the audience with an insight into the joy of singing charming Christmas motets in the accompaniment of chamber groups. The concert will likewise show how exhilarating it is to listen to songs performed by the junior mixed choir that features velvety voices of enthusiastic girls and recently broken voices of boys. Last but not least, the Choir’s accomplished instrumental soloists will also demonstrate their musical talents.
