🌟 ALL-STAR CHEER TRYOUTS - JUNE 7-8! 🌟
Mountain State Cheer Academy is thrilled to invite all families to our All-Star Cheer Tryouts on June 7-8! 📣 Trying out does not commit you to a team! We can’t wait to build our teams for the upcoming season and welcome athletes of all ages and skill levels.
🔹 Who can try out?
You do not have to be a part of MSCA to try out! Currently, we plan to offer teams for ALL ages. Whether your child is just starting or has advanced skills, we encourage them to come and give it a shot! Our goal is to include EVERYONE on a team!
🔹 What will be evaluated?
Here are some skills that may be assessed at tryouts:
✅ Prep/Novice: Push-up back bend, cartwheel, forward/backward rolls, T-jump, tuck jump.
✅ Level 1: Handstand, front/back walkovers, Valdez, running tumbling (cartwheel back walkover, roundoff, etc.).
✅ Level 2: Standing & running back handsprings, back extension rolls, roundoff handspring series.
✅ ALL athletes will be evaluated on toe touches and pike jumps!
💡 Don’t worry if your child hasn’t mastered all these skills yet! Our coaches are here to develop their abilities and find the best fit for every athlete. If your child has skills beyond this list, we’d love to see them in action!
Does your child need extra help to prepare for all stars? Please reach out to one of our staff about private lessons!
🔹 Two Types of Teams:
🎉 Less Competitive Teams – Competition season starts in January.
🏆 Elite Teams – Most competitive; competitions begin in November.

📢 Parent Meeting: Before tryouts to go over costs, fundraising, competition schedule, and commitments.
🎂 Dessert Party, Team Signing & Team Announcements: Celebrate with us after tryouts (date TBA)!
