IMBOLC Lantern Making Workshop & Songs

Join us to honour the first light of spring - Imbolc - with candlelit lantern, song, and parade

From 2–5pm we’ll craft lanterns together, kindling hope and intention led by Juliet from the craft that reconnects. Ric from Brown Bread Choir will teach us Imbolc songs to sing when At 5pm, voices rise as we carry our handmade lights in a lantern parade, processing down to Millennium Green to welcome the returning sun.

Lantern making for Imbolc is a symbolic act celebrating the return of light, the awakening of the earth, and the promise of renewal as winter begins to wane.

Brigid is the Celtic goddess of fire, hearth, healing & the muse of poets and artisans. Lighting lanterns symbolises the spark of inspiration and creativity within us and helps set intentions for personal growth in the coming year.

The parade at 5pm is free for everyone to join - bring a candle in a jar, or other light source or your choosing and meet us outside MIC
