An introduction to Integrating IFS and EMDR with Dr Emma PillingerParticipants will gain an understanding of integrating Parts work into their EMDR therapy and be introduced to accessing internal (family) systems in themselves and their clients (and why this is important!). Via: discussion / reflection, experiential exercises; group work / practice; and, live demo/s, participants will have the opportunity to learn about IFS in each of the eight phases, working with protectors and increasing Self energy via resourcing, Parts' mapping, navigating resistance / blocks, and increasing emotional safety and choice.Dr Emma Pillinger specialises in EMDR and IFS therapy, her approach is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ and neuro-affirmative, and underpinned by humanistic values that incorporate an essential focus upon building and maintaining the therapeutic relationship.

Participants will gain an understanding of when history taking can become difficult, what strategies are available to deal with these situations using EMDR, Blind to Therapist processing and checklist, flash or blink single focus processing and brain spotting.
