Urmând atmosfera, energia și principiile formatoare ale celei de-a șaptea ediții a programului de rezidență 𝑆𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑎 𝐵𝑜𝑜𝑘: 𝑀𝑒𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑦, un format alternativ de prezentare se va desfășura în zilele de 8 și 9 noiembrie la MNȚRplusC. Deschidem evenimentul de prezentare a rezidenței cu o sesiune de lucru cu sample-uri din audio walkul creat de rezidentx, o sesiune coordonată de colectivul 𝑆𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑎𝑠 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 care a dat naștere acestor evenimente comunitare despre practici de sampling. Y29udGFjdCB8IHNvdW5kc2xpa2VhYm9vayAhIGNvbQ== până pe data de 5 noiembrie. Evenimentul se va desfășura în limba engleză. 𝑆𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑎𝑠 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 va avea loc pe 8 noiembrie, între orele 11:00 și 13:30, fiind urmat de o sesiune de ascultare între orele 15:00 și 16:00.
Continuăm în după-amiaza zilei de opt noiembrie (16:00 – 18:00) cu exerciții performative colaborative, inspirate de activitățile din rezidență și propuse de rezidentx, deschise publicului larg. În mod organic, partea performativă se va transforma într-o seară de 𝐶ℎ𝑖𝑡-𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑡𝑠, de la 18:00 la 21:00, despre lucruri și lucrări, despre răspunsurile artistice excepționale la întrebarea 𝐶𝑢𝑚 𝑠𝑢𝑛𝑎̆ 𝑜 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑒 ? în prezența unora dintre rezidentx, invitatx și musafirx ale rezidenței.
Rezidența 𝑆𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝐿𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑎 𝐵𝑜𝑜𝑘 a început acum patru ediții în Șona, o zonă rurală din apropierea orașului Făgăraș, cu imboldul de a încuraja cercetarea artistică și experimentarea cu sunetul și cartea ca medii de expresie prea puțin folosite în mediul local. La structura de anul acesta a rezidenței au contribuit artista multimedia 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐚 𝐕𝐥𝐚̆𝐝𝐮𝐭̦ și compozitorul elvețian 𝐂𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐋𝐢𝐦, 𝐌𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐅𝐫𝐚̆𝐭̦𝐢𝐥𝐚̆, membră a Asociației Sătească Șona Noastră, 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐈𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐬̦𝐮, regizoare și fondatoare a arhivei satului, artistul multimedia austriac 𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬 𝐉𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐛 𝐋𝐨̈𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫 și 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭, studio interdisciplinar de design.

Following the atmosphere, energy and guiding principles of the seventh edition of the 𝑆𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝐿𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑎 𝐵𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑦 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑎𝑚, 𝑀𝑒𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑦, an alternative presentation format will take place on November 8th and 9th at MNȚRplusC.

The residency’s public program will start with a hands-on session featuring samples from the audio walk created by this year’s participating artists. Led by 𝑆𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑎𝑠 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡, the collective behind a series of community events dedicated to sampling practices, the session invites participants to explore sound as a creative tool. We’ll continue on the afternoon of November 8th (16:00 – 18:00) with a series of collaborative performative exercises inspired by the residency’s activities and proposed by the participating artists, open for everyone to join. The performative segment will naturally flow into an evening of 𝐶ℎ𝑖𝑡-𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑡𝑠 from 18:00 to 21:00, a relaxed conversation about things and works, exploring exceptional artistic responses to the question What does a book sound like?; in the company of some of the residency’s artists, guests and friends.
The Sounds Like a Book residency began four editions ago in Șona, a rural area near the town of Făgăraș. It was created with the aim of encouraging artistic research and experimentation with sound and the book: two forms of expression not explored enough in the local context. This year’s edition was developed with the contributions of multimedia artist 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐚 𝐕𝐥𝐚̆𝐝𝐮𝐭̦ and Swiss composer 𝐂𝐲𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐋𝐢𝐦, 𝐌𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐅𝐫𝐚̆𝐭̦𝐢𝐥𝐚̆, a member of the Șona Village Association, filmmaker and village archive initiator 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐈𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐬̦𝐮, Austrian multimedia artist 𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬 𝐉𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐛 𝐋𝐨̈𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫 and 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭, an interdisciplinary design studio.
