Grab your wide-brimmed hat, tie on your apron, and fire up that grill – 1st of May at Mahala isn’t just a holiday, it’s a full-blown celebration spread over four days of smoky goodness, cold beer, and stories sizzling on the barbecue.

🟡 The mititei (grilled Romanian sausages) are the stars – made the traditional way: finely minced meat, garlic to keep the troubles away, and just enough baking soda to make them jump with joy on the grill. And yes, 10 for the price of 8 – because that’s how we do it in Mahala.
🍲 Steaming tripe soup, double-boiled stuffed cabbage rolls (just like grandma made), hearty meat platters, fresh-out-of-the-oven pies, and ten-year-old plum brandy to top it all off.
🍷 Frosty pitchers of Urlați wine and tall glasses of beer complete the scene.
