Volunteer Workdays at Tom Dorman SNP
First Tuesday of every Month
5:00pm – 7:30pm EST
Where:
Tom Dorman SNP
Meet in main parking lot - off southbound Hwy 27, south of the Kentucky River.
37.762112, -84.617647, Lancaster, KY 40444
Description:
Looking to meet other environmentally minded people and make a lasting impact in the beautiful Kentucky River Palisades? Join an OKNP land manager/botanist to learn about the flora of the Kentucky River Palisades, and what you can do to protect this important plant community. At these volunteer workdays, we will primarily focus on non-native invasive species removal, but we will also save time for a little botanizing. Equipment will be provided, but please come dressed properly, wearing long pants, sturdy closed toed shoes, and a long sleeve shirt.
After each workday, we encourage everyone to make the short drive into Nicholasville to socialize and enjoy some Mexican food.
