L’Espace Magh, en partenariat avec Moussem, rend hommage aux poètes de Gaza lors d’une soirée exceptionnelle mêlant poésie, musique et arts visuels. Un hommage poignant à ceux qui, malgré la guerre et l’occupation israélienne, continuent de porter la voix de leur peuple.
En écho au Marché de la Poésie Paris 2025, qui mettra la Palestine à l’honneur, cette rencontre mettra en lumière les voix puissantes de Hind Joudeh, Fatena al-Ghorra, Nour Baaloucha et Wadah Abu Jami, réunies dans l’anthologie "Gaza, Y a-t-il une vie avant la mort ?" (parue chez Points, avril 2025) et qui témoignent, à travers leurs œuvres, des luttes et de la résilience de leur peuple.
Ces poètes gazaouis seront accompagnés de Charles Ducal, poète belge d’expression néerlandaise qui s’exprime en vers sur la guerre à Gaza et en Palestine.
Le clarinettiste et compositeur de jazz palestinien Ahmed Hawwash, en duo avec le guitariste Tom Peeters, accompagnera cette soirée empreinte de sensibilité.
🖼️ En parallèle, découvrez l’univers pictural du jeune artiste gazaoui Ismail Matar, installé à Bruxelles, à travers une exposition alliant calligraphie, peinture et fresques. Un hommage visuel à la résistance, à l’espoir et à la dignité.

Espace Magh, in partnership with Moussem, pays tribute to the poets of Gaza during an exceptional evening blending poetry, music, and visual arts. A moving homage to those who, despite war and Israeli occupation, continue to carry the voice of their people.
In resonance with the 2025 Marché de la Poésie in Paris, which will honour Palestine, this gathering will spotlight the powerful voices of Hind Joudeh, Fatena al-Ghorra, Nour Baaloucha, and Wadah Abu Jami – all featured in the anthology "Gaza, Is There Life Before Death?" (Points, April 2025). Through their words, they bear witness to the struggles and resilience of their people.
They will be joined by Charles Ducal, a Belgian poet writing in Dutch, who lends his voice in verse to the war in Gaza and Palestine.
Palestinian jazz clarinettist and composer Ahmed Hawwash, in duo with guitarist Tom Peeters, will accompany this deeply moving evening with a sensitive musical performance.
🖼️ Alongside, immerse yourself in the visual world of young Gazan artist Ismail Matar, now based in Brussels, through an exhibition that weaves together calligraphy, painting, and murals. A visual tribute to resistance, hope, and dignity.
