North American drummer, composer, and educator RJ Miller returns to the Hall with a performance that journeys from the ancient to the avant-garde. Known for his deeply expressive playing and seamless integration of electronic and ambient textures, Miller brings a rare sensitivity and curiosity to the drum kit.
With an impressive resume of collaborations—Bill McHenry, Meshell Ndegeocello, Aaron Parks at the Village Vanguard, and more—Miller is a vital voice in today’s modern jazz landscape.
He’ll be joined by longtime musical collaborators:

🎶 Ross Gallagher on bass – grounding the trio with harmonic richness and groove
