The Brooklyn Dodgers have had many names and were known as the Brooklyn Bridegrooms from 1888-1898. They played Major League Baseball right here at Washington Park, and used the Old Stone House as the team clubhouse.
The Brooklyn Bridegrooms are coming back to play at their home field at Washington Park on May 17!
The Bridegrooms will travel through time to play modern baseball against local sandlot team FUMBL (Formerly Unemployed Musicians Baseball League) on their home turf.
Come celebrate Brooklyn's baseball legacy and the rich history of Washington Park as a place to play.
First pitch 4:30pm
Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to watch the game! Snacks and refreshments for sale.
