Sake Event: Introduction to Sake Tasting Class and Brewery Tour

If you’ve wanted to learn the basics of sake in a fun and approachable way, this Introduction to Sake tasting class is for you! Join us in person at the Sake Studies Center at Brooklyn Kura in NYC to learn the basics of sake and enjoy a guided tasting of the most delicious sakes. We invite you to taste and learn about sake where sake is made! Get a guided brewery tour, taste and explore a set of 5 premium sakes including some fresh from the press! Let’s level up your sake knowledge and have fun doing it!

• Sake 101 presentation to cover all the basics
• Guided Tasting of 4 Brooklyn Kura craft sakes as well as a premium sake from Japan.

About your teacher:Timothy Sullivan is the Director of Education and lead instructor for all classes at the Sake Studies Center at Brooklyn Kura. He has over 17 years of experience teaching about sake and in 2007, he was awarded the prestigious title of Sake Samurai by the Japan Sake Brewers Association. Timothy brings a wealth of knowledge as well as practical brewing experience to the classroom. Whether for sake beginners or for industry professionals, Timothy strives to make all his classes and tasting fun and engaging.
