The Misti Peruvian Jazz Project is a group dedicated to bridging the traditions of jazz and Peruvian music. Their sound blends original compositions with Afro-Peruvian rhythms and Andean influences. The group is passionate about sharing this fusion with diverse audiences and highlighting the cultural depth of Peru through jazz.
is a weekly music series taking place on summer Wednesday evenings at 7pm at Open Source Gallery, 306 17th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215. Formerly called “Quarantine Jams,” the series began in 2020 when indoor spaces were closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Curated by Lily White, Open Sound features a variety of musicians and genres. These weekly performances attract members of the neighborhood of all ages and backgrounds and dancing is strongly encouraged!
