Love, Jamie is a documentary that tells the story of 2025 Center Fellow Jamie Diaz, her experience with incarceration as a trans woman and her artistic depictions of queer existence using limited materials. The film also narrates Diaz’s friendship with Gabriel Joffe, who while volunteering for an organization that supports LGBTQ+ incarcerated people, encountered and responded to a letter crafted by Diaz.
The screening will be followed by a talkback with Karla Murthy and the film’s Producer, Andrew Fredericks. It will be preceded by virtual or pre-recorded remarks from Jamie Diaz.
