Data is all around us, and with the rise of LLMs like ChatGPT, it's never been easier for everyone to make discoveries that matter! Join Dr. Andrea Jones-Rooy as she discusses how you can harness data to address the issues you care about, whether it's making better decisions in your own life, solving workplace problems, or tackling climate change.

This talk will cover practical ways to start asking and answering thoughtful, research-based, and impact-oriented questions using data—no technical skills required! All you need is curiosity, imagination, humility, and a desire to make your life—and the world—a better place.

Dr. Andrea Jones-Rooy is a data and political scientist dedicated to improving data literacy. With extensive experience teaching Data Science for Everyone at NYU, she now leads the Institute for Thoughtful Quantification and hosts the podcast Behind the Data. When she's not sharing insights on data, she's a standup comedian and circus performer!
