In this 3-hour workshop, you’ll master the essential techniques for creating glass chains by connecting links and loops. You’ll get hands-on experience with using heat and tools to close and connect links. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore decorating techniques, bead shapers, and texturizers to add a unique flair to your creations.
What to Expect: The class begins with a focused mini-lesson on how to properly close and connect links, followed by dedicated time for you to craft your own glass chain. Flameworking, especially when it comes to controlling heat with the torch, requires practice. By the end of the session, you’ll have created a chain with several links, showcasing your newly acquired skills.Clean-up time is included in the duration of class, and usually the last 20 minutes of class are dedicated to cleaning your workstation. Read more about how to prepare for class on our Registration Info page.
