Fanal - Fè Limyè: Workshop and Community Lighting Ceremony

Join us on Saturday, December 6th, to celebrate Weeksville’s newest installation, Fanal - Fè Limyè by artist Fitgi Saint-Louis! On view through January, this radiant piece stands as a reminder of the enduring light we each hold and can build upon with our kaleidoscope of collective action. 

Honoring this sentiment and Weeksville’s legacy of community and creativity, the day will unfold in two parts:

📍 2:00 PM: Fanal Workshop - Learn the history of the fanal as a Haitian holiday tradition and create your own in an intimate workshop led by artist Fitgi Saint-Louis.

✨ 3:30 PM: Community Lighting Ceremony - Join us for a celebration featuring a live performance and a speaking program as we gather outside to witness Fanal - Fè Limyè illuminate Weeksville.
