We are excited to kick off a very special event that brings our community together to support a vital cause: Palmer Lake VFW’s 7th Annual Veteran Suicide Awareness 5K Run/Walk!
On Saturday, September 13th, 2025, we'll be gathering at Brookdale Park in Brooklyn Park, MN, to raise awareness and funds to combat veteran suicide. This year we will be supporting Project Delta.
Project Delta is dedicated to pairing veterans and first responders with rescue/shelter dogs to create service dog teams to lessen the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), military sexual trauma (MST) and physical disabilities that are the result of active service.
This event is more than just a run or walk – it's a powerful way to show our appreciation for the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families. Every step we take, every dollar we raise, and every voice we amplify brings us closer to a world where no veteran feels alone or without support.

Time: 10:00 a.m. (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.)
Location: Brookdale Park, 7650 June Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55443
Registration: Advanced registration is open until September 12th for just $40. Register now and ensure you receive a commemorative event shirt! (Register by September 1st to guarantee your shirt order.) The day of registration is available for a $45 fee.
