2025 South Dakota State Civics Bee Finals

SAVE THE DATE! The South Dakota Chamber of Commerce & Industry is proud to host the 2025 National Civics Bee aimed at encouraging more young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. 10 middle-school students from across South Dakota, who have competed in preliminary rounds, will participate in the final competition to demonstrate their civics knowledge and discuss how they would solve a problem facing their community. This is the first ever state-wide competition in South Dakota! The finalists and top winners will receive various prizes, including $1,000 cash for the first-place winner. The first-place winner of the State Finals will also earn a trip to Washington, D.C. to compete in the National Championship in the Fall of 2025. Prizes at the National Championship include a grand prize of a $100,000 529 plan for first place, $25,000 for second place, and $15,000 for third place.
