The Bromsgrove District Plan - Let’s stand together to call for real choice, local infrastructure, and an end to losing our Green Belt.
Please join a peaceful march from Sanders Park to the Council House.
We’re asking for real alternatives in the local plan—not just one developer-led option. We demand proper planning for infrastructure and protection of our Green Belt.
Bring a sign. Bring a friend. Bring your concerns.
This event is non-political, respectful and inclusive—open to every resident who wants to shape our future.
Are you feeling somewhat blindsided by Bromsgrove District Council making the decision to opt for just one option regarding the proposed development of over 9,000 new homes in the district and then launching “consultation” without choice. Residents feel ignored!
Green belt concerns: Major loss in multiple villages—Alvechurch, Catshill, Barnt Green, Frankley, Hagley , Stoke Prior - while Birmingham has brownfield land available ! This consultation started under the last government and is now being enforced with updated numbers by the current one. Our MP is challenging the government about the increase but is this too little too late ?
Infrastructure worries: A38 upgrades weren’t designed for this scale (3,000+ homes) and no secured funding for schools, GPs or roads
Bromsgrove and the Villages -we have too many traffic issues in the district already never mind the school and doctors shortages.
The consultation is making Residents feel pressured to respond, not shape: Only one option is presented, despite 400+ sites submitted during the call for sites this is not consultation …
As Cllr Nik Price recently quoted “This is a top‑down, developer‑led agenda disguised as consultation … Residents are expected to react, not shape their future” we need to stand together and be heard !
