WORKSHOP: Footpath Planting with Landcare Broken Hill

As part of Marnpi Festival, Slag Heap Projects and Landcare Broken Hill are partnering to continue the revitalisation of Oxide St. We’ve been watching nature strips and corner gardens alongside Oxide St and at our festival site Premier Automotive Tyres, and they could do with a little love.

Join us for a hands-on workshop prepping, planting and caring for this shared plot of garden, connecting with others and learning about native and resilient plants perfect for public spaces.

Creating community gardens is a focus of Marnpi Festival, and this is the first phase in building gardens in and around our gallery as an essential place of gathering.

Bring gloves and a shovel if you have them!

All other materials and light food will be provided.

This workshop is FREE for all to attend, no skill required.
