Funkin' Friday - Guest DJs - Jerome Anderson + The Mrs

To local soul lovers, these two love birds need no introduction! But here goes anyhow..

From her teenage days growing up in 80’s Essex, Lindsay AKA DJ “The Mrs” knew she loved music, and her move to London in the late 80’s, going clubbing moved to another dimension, Friday nights at Gossips, Saturdays at The Electric Ballroom, Ormonds or The Soho Arts Club, but always Dingwalls on a Sunday for Talking Loud hosted by Gilles and Patrick. And when Lindsay started dating a DJ, her alter ego was born!, recently honoured to play her second year this year's Margate Soul Festival.

Jerome began dancing on the London Club Scene of the 80’s, in venues such as Crackers, Global Village and Jaffa’s. A chance meeting with Perry Louis in the Jazz Café led to Jerome joining the Jazzcotech, dancing professionally and touring across Europe and Japan for more than 10 years. Jerome has played in various London venues and DJ’d at corporate events and locally, mixing up eras and playing an eclectic dance-based mix from funk to soul and latin, swing to jazz, with a little reggae and ska thrown in too.
