Join the National Trust for Scotland Ranger on a beautiful coastal walk through the croftlands of Drumbuie, Duirinish and Port an Eòrna
Experience traditional crofting in action on this Ranger led guided walk and explore one of the most beautiful parts of the Balmacara Estate. Following the coastline from Drumbuie to Port an Eòrna, experience stunning views over to the Isle of Skye and the Applecross Peninsula and a chance to see local wildlife, from otters to orchids. Take in the diverse species rich grasslands on the Estate and learn about the importance of crofting for our local communities and wildlife.
This walk is a circular route and requires a good level of fitness. Please note - the path is managed, but there are a number of stiles to cross and a couple of steep, rocky sections, including across a rocky shore with no path. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for spending time outdoors. Good waterproofs, walking boots and walking poles are advised.
COST: Adults - £15 per person and Under 18’s - £10 per person. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult
DIFFICULTY: Moderate (with one short strenuous section)
DISTANCE: 1.5 miles (2.4 km)
TIME: 2-3 hours (approx.)
MEETING PLACE: Balmacara Square Visitor Centre Car Park and car share across to the Drumbuie start point
