Zero Balancing is a path-breaking therapy that adds an essential and new dimension to your bodywork. Founded by Dr. Fritz Smith, osteopathic MD, it derived from ideas and techniques of Rolfing, cranio-sacral work, acupuncture, Eastern and Western understandings of energy and anatomy. Zero Balancing I and II, offered uniquely in this hybrid course, will give you the entire Core Zero Balancing protocol.
You will learn specific techniques for working with “foundational” bones and joints of the body, amplifying the health of the musculo-skeletal and nervous systems through:
the foot
hips
pelvis
sacro-iliac joints
all the ribs and vertebrae
sternum
clavicles
shoulders
arms
neck
cranium
You will learn to create “fulcrums” that systematically empower every touch to have optimum effect.
You will learn observation skills to add effectiveness and confidence to your work.
You will learn a protocol that can be done in as little as 30 minutes or as many as 60 – allowing you to integrate Zero Balancing with whatever other work you do whether it be structural or energetic or both.
Most importantly, you will learn how to address the deepest structure and energy that underlies posture and every movement that we make. You will learn how to work with the fascinating, deepest part of the person understood by Eastern thinking as “ancestral chi.” – what we know and feel in our “very bones”.
